Today we dedicate a small space to the great scientist Stephen William Hawking. He was a theoretical physicist, astrophysicist, cosmologist and British scientific communicator. His most important works consisted of contributing theorems regarding the space temporal singularities within the framework of general relativity and the theoretical prediction that black holes would emit radiation, what is known today as Hawking´s radiation.
In his work "very short history of time" (2005) in collaboration with Leonard Mlodinow, tried to explain in the easily way the history of the universe, for this reason he is known as the "historian of time". Soon after arriving in Cambridge, he began to develop symptoms of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a type of motor neuron disease that would cause you to lose most of your neuromuscular control.
Regarding his work, Hawking has worked on basics laws governing the universe with Roger Penrose showing that the general theory of relativity from Einstein implies that the space and the time must have a beginning in the Big Bang and and end within in the black holes.
Basically we can classify his works in:
-Universe research:
Where we can find Investigation about the origin of the universe, conjeture of chronology protection.
-Philosophical thought.
-Religius beliefs
Unfortunately, yesterday 14 of march he died, but not even his death has gone unnoticed as turns out that hawking has died at the same age as the scientist Albert Einstein (76 years old). His death coincides with the same day of the Einstein´s birth and on march 14 which is 3/14. And yes, nice coincidence of fate, it is the pi number (𝜋).
