This is Plovdiv

Hey guys!

Our project take places in Razlog which is very small village and good for quiet life, but sometimes we need action in our lifes, therefor we went to Plodvid. It took two train rides (amazing train, by the way. Retro.) end six hours all toghether to get to Plodvid. It might seem boring but nature and the views kept us entertained. Now we are in Plodvid. It is 1:30 AM. We lived in hostel “Funky Monkey”.

Our curiosity to know Plovdiv got us out of bed early, but just before going we had a breakfast hostel. Which can be done in many of the downtown cafes at a reasonable price. And without having a definite route in our mind but having a couple of references on what we can find in Plovdiv, we went walking around the city. This was how we found the mosque and the large garden, a space full of life. In that garden, we could see many fountains, which light up the darkness in the night with precious colors. Near this garden, there is a mountain with a monument on the top. There are many paths till the top on the mountains, so you can choose wich one you like the most. Those who are interested in the monument consult other sources of information. From the top of the mountain you can see the whole city and the view is amazing. Afterwards we went to a restaurant in the old town, close to some ruins. Way till the restaurant led us thought the beautiful old town and on our way we also saw wonderful graffity art. After lunch we dicided that we want icecream in dessert, so went back to the city center main street. While going to center we saw a Roman theater and other ruins from the past of the city. Exhausted, we returned to the hostel to rest for a while so we could go out at night full with energy. The night has many proposals with cafes and clubs, but to be honest most of them are the same, people sitting around and enjoying their drinks, it’s nice, but if you want to dance, than Plovdiv might not be the place for that. We walked around the city, at the end we came back to our hostel with wine to play some cards.

The next day we had a short, but slow walk around the center, and than at two we cought the train back to home.
